Haimen Economic-Technological DevelopmentZone (hereinafter referred to as HEDZ),established in 1992,was listed as a key riverine development zone in Nov 1993 by thePeople's Government of Jiangsu Province and approved to become a National-levelDevelopment Zone in Jan 2013 by the State Council.

In recent years, taking the concept ofscientific development as guidance and grasping opportunities while fixed at ahigh position, HEDZ, experiencing an economic and social great-leap-forwarddevelopment, has developed into a first-rate EDZ in Jiangsu province featuringa powerful economic strength, consummate urban functions in addition toconverging advanced industries, active technological innovation and superiorcomprehensive environment as a golden area accommodating industrial investmenton the Yangtze River Delta and ranked among the first matrix of counterparts inJiangsu province for Zone's comprehensive strength ; furthermore, it'sappraised as “The most favorable EZD for enterprise investment of Jiangsu”.


○  Planned area: 114 sq-km, divided into 3distinctive functional districts.

○  In possession of 8 km deep water bankline,capable of accommodating harbors of 50,000 ton and above.

○  Over 1,400 enterprises have settled down inzone.

○  Among which, over 20 projects are invested byWorld's Top 500 enterprises.

○  HEDZ has kept its first place among 99provincial-level development zones for construction development level  and ranked 11th among 35 national-level developmentzones in Jiangsu province.  



Neighboring river, sea off Shanghai area asthe nearest national-level development zone off Shanghai area on the north bankof the Yangtze, and thanks to the three-dimensional traffic network expressedby combined and interplay transport of highways, railways and waterways throughsea, land and air, HEDZ has totally been integrated into Shanghai's one-houreconomic circle and realized the all-round integration with Shanghai.

Harbor: 20 km awayfrom Nantong Terminal, and 80 km away from Shanghai Terminal.

Airport: 35 km awayfrom Nantong Airport, 80 km away from Hongqiao Airport, and 110 km away fromPudong Airport.

Bridge: 3 km awayfrom Suzhou-Nantong Bridge, 25 km away from Shanghai-Nantong Bridge, 30 km awayfrom Chongming-QidongBridge and Chongming-Haimen Bridge (in preparation) is within reach.
